National Bike Challenge
May 1 - September 30, 2018
BIKE! is proud to coordinate the local Advocacy Challenge for Houghton and Keweenaw Counties in the National Bike Challenge for the fifth year running. Compete against your friends and coworkers, reach your personal goals and be a part of the biggest group ride ever!
2018 GoalsIn 2016, our local Advocacy Challenge finished #2 nationally, with 377 riders logging a total of 127,268 miles!
This year is an exciting new start for the challenge, as it's based on a more robust platform (Strava) and certain to be a better experience for our riders. Our goals this year are for 200 riders to sign up for the local Advocacy Challenge on the new platform, log a total of 150,000 miles, and reclaim our #1 spot nationally! 2016 ResultsOur local Advocacy Challenge finished in the #2 spot nationally last year! Sincere thanks to all our dedicated riders, as well as everyone in BIKE!, local bike shops, wellness programs, and others who helped get the word out.
Read more about last year's challenge. Sign UpNew and old riders will need to create an account with Strava if they don't already have one, and then link that account by visiting http://nationalbikechallenge.org/. This can be a confusing process, so we developed a set of instructions that will walk you through the process.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We want to see you out riding and on the leaderboards! |
